Meet Josh and Zara Gold, the heart and soul of Scafflink—a family business built on a foundation of passion and dedication. Founded in 1996, Scafflink has been a labor of love for Josh and Zara, who joined the team in 2003 and married the following year. Balancing the demands of raising their three children, they also became integral parts of Scafflink’s operations—Zara as GM Admin and Josh as GM Operations.
In 2009, Josh and Zara, alongside four business partners, took the bold step to buy into Scafflink, marking a significant milestone in their journey. Over the next several years, they worked tirelessly to buy out their partners, solidifying their vision and commitment to the business.
Family is at the core of everything they do. Josh and Zara’s journey together started as childhood friends hunting cane toads with golf clubs. Their bond grew into a lifelong partnership, with them becoming high school sweethearts and marrying at the tender age of 18.
Their dedication to Scafflink has been unwavering, with some team members having been with them for over 20 years. Since 2018, they have spearheaded Scafflink’s growth, achieving significant milestones such as purchasing a 3000m2 facility in Burleigh Heads and expanding their product line to include the Layher, Quickally and Scafflink’s own void and pool platform system.
